Monthly Sound Immersion Series
In the wake of profound loss, finding words can feel impossible. We invite the community to come together for an evening of intentional sound and collective healing. Using the resonant frequencies of crystal bowls and soft percussion, we will create a safe container to honor the vibrant memory of Jacob Dortchy and the young adults we have lost too soon. This is a space to simply be, to breathe, and to let the sound carry the weight of our grief as we move toward a place of peace.
Participants ages 10 and up are invited—never expected—to engage in ways that feel supportive to their bodies and nervous systems. Movement, stillness, rest, and stepping out are all welcome.
Sound instruments may include: Crystal singing bowls, Shamanic drums and singing, Grounding percussive and harmonic instruments. These frequencies and rhythms work with the body’s sensory pathways to support:
- Nervous-system regulation and stress reduction.
- Decreased muscular tension and emotional holding.
- Improved interoceptive awareness (listening to internal cues).
- A felt sense of safety, coherence, and grounding.
Energy Exchange; These gatherings are offered complimentary to the community, with optional donations welcomed in support of the In Harmony Foundation; The In Harmony Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families impacted by gun violence and sudden loss, providing compassionate care, community resources, and spaces for healing and connection. Donations, if offered, directly support this mission.
